The Vision

 Jesus said “I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand.” (John 10.28 NIV)

Ascent STUDENT MINISTRIES exists with but one purpose—SOULS! We are all about the “life change!” This generation is stained and calloused, and is in desperate need to become [clean] and [pure] and [solid]!

 

The core

Psalm 24.3-6 (NIV) 3 Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord? Who may stand in his holy place? 4 The one who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not trust in an idol or swear by a false god. 5 They will receive blessing from the Lord and vindication from God their Savior. 6 Such is the generation of those who seek him, who seek your face, God of Jacob.

Ascent Student ministries strives to challenges students to a life change. Having clean hands is the physical, outer aspect of just such a life. Outward appearance isn’t nearly important as a pure heart, because God looks at the heart. God desires a pure heart. One can live without hands, but one cannot live without a heart. That which is on the inside is what dictates what happens on the outside. Outward holiness speaks to the world and inner righteousness speaks to God. In the end, the mark of a life change is a student that is solid…a student that is unchanging!

 

 Encounters

Wednesday’s 7pm—the Ascent. At this encounter students are given the opportunity to pursue God through worship, teaching, and relationship building.

Sunday’s 9.30 am—Sunday School. A new twist on an old classic. Relevant teaching, application, and prayer.

6 pm—the Summit. At this discussion based, small group setting, students have the opportunity to encounter growth through intense discipleship training.
